Set a mark – even if it’s not in the results

2025

The past two weeks of racing were not easy – but they have shown me that I can still ride fast. Even if the results don’t reflect that at first glance, I’m taking some positive things with me.

The Swiss Championships in Savognin were disappointing for me. I had different expectations of myself and questioned myself critically afterwards, because I hadn’t travelled there to finish fourth and stand next to the podium.

In the short track in Andorra, things didn’t go as planned either – I exploded. I was finished.

But the cross-country race in Andorra gave me confidence again. I felt physically strong – right to the end. Unfortunately, I had a flat tire on the third of eight laps, otherwise I could have realistically been in contention for the top 5. Given the circumstances, eleventh place is a positive result. This realisation is more important to me at the moment than the rankings.

Now it’s time to take the positives with me and keep working hard. I know where I stand – and I know where I want to go: to the home World Championships in Crans Montana.
