Halfway through 2025: emotions, insights – and a clear goal

2025

The first half of the season was characterised by highlights, challenges and a very special moment away from the race track. I look back on what happend so far – and focus clearly on the second half of the year with the big goal of the home World Championships in Crans Montana.

Emotional highlights and strong signs

For me, the first half of the season was a journey with highs, lows – and very special moments. One of the most emotional highlights was clearly my victory at the Bike Revolution in Huttwil. Standing at the top of the podium at home in front of family, friends and many familiar faces was a goosebump moment that I won’t forget in a hurry.

The podium place at the World Cup in Leogang was also a strong sign for me. It showed me how much the fire still burns inside me – and that I can still ride at the front on the international stage.

Not everything went according to plan – and yet the direction is right

Of course, not every race went according to plan. At the moment, I don’t have the same self-confidence as in previous years, and that is reflected in some of the results. Nevertheless, my mindset is right, my form is right – and I know exactly where I want to go.

A decisive drive also comes from outside of sport: the birth of our daughter Mina has given my life a new depth – and at the same time made my goals even clearer. This change motivates me enormously and gives me extra energy.

Looking ahead: Swiss Champs, Andorra and the World Championships

I’m currently at an altitude training camp, where I’m laying the foundations for a strong second half of the season. From here, I’ll be competing at the Swiss Championships in Savognin on 6 July – an important fixture in my racing calendar. The World Cup in Andorra, one of my absolute favourite races, follows just one week later.

All of this is part of my journey towards my big goal: the home World Championships in Crans Montana. On 14 September, I will be competing for gold and the rainbow jersey. That’s what I live for, that’s what I train for – and that’s what I give my all for at every moment.
