At the CIC ON Swiss Bike Cup in Schaan (LIE) I celebrated my second win of the season. In extremely wet and cold conditions I had a good day and was able to pull away already in the first lap. I am very happy about this victory because it shows me that I am in a very good shape.
A real mud battle in Schaan! Due to the continuous rainfall and the low temperatures, man and material were challenged. It was a tough and very energy-sapping race.
I am very positive about my performance
I attacket right from the first lap and set a very high pace. Normally, today’s conditions are not one of my strengths. That’s why my performance today makes me feel even more positive. I know that I’m in a good shape and that my shape is going up from race to race.
With the victory I could also take the lead in the overall ranking of the Swiss Bike Cup. In general it was a successful day for our team, because with Lars Forster on 2nd place we celebrated a double victory. Alessandra Keller won in the women’s category and we also took the victory in the team ranking with Thömus maxon. That’s what makes racing fun!
The roadmap to the first World Cup
Now follows another longer training block in view of the first World Cup in Nove Mesto (May 12 and 14). As a last form test I will start on May 7th at the second run of the ÖKK Bike Revolution in Chur.
